The goal for 2.6 is
* adopt simplification measures implemented in 3.0:
** the roots repo
** the relative fs - repo
** drop the HomeLayout and simply bind worker processes to home target states.
* Support Java 9 (#1991, [[Java9_Support]])
* Upgraded Jetty (#1993, [[Jetty9_4_support]])

* Will Version 2.6 will only support running on Java 9 (due to support of Layers)
