This The goal for 2.6 is version 2.6
* adopt simplification measures implemented in 3.0:
** simpler, flatter, potentially all local deployment (#2007)
the roots repo
** the relative fs - repo (#1997)
** drop the HomeLayout and simply bind worker processes to home target states.
* Support Java 9 (#1991, [[Java9_Support]])
* Upgraded Jetty (#1993, [[Jetty9_4_support]])
* Get rid of outdated 3rd party libs, update needed 3rd party libs (#1983)
* Allow for simpler - less copy & paste - environment adaptation (#2003)

* Will only support running on Java 9 (due to support of Layers)
